Apple IPHONE, Asphalt & Rust, The Series

Over the past years, I have walked the industrial park behind my house often and with every camera I own.

Lately, I’ve just taken my IPHONE which now has the capability they call “HDR” which just means it can take two exposures of the image.  I love macadam, the markings on it, the rust on the large steel trash containers, the empty parking lots at sunset or sunrise, the trucks whooshing by me.

So, because I am simply bored to death with my opinions on just about everything these days, I’m going to do a photographic series based on these walks and post them without commentary.  Sometimes I’ll do tricks with the images, like this collage of over 3000 images, and sometimes I’ll just post an image straight out of the phone.

Enjoy the silence and hopefully some of the images.

  1. An interesting image, almost looks like a satellite image of a strange pattern of land use. I keep wanting to make it bigger… cool.
So maybe you are bored with your opinions, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us are!

    1. Oh, Don, you are sweet but I’m not kidding…when I think about writing something, I lose the impulse. I wish some others on the TV would get an outbreak of this, don’t you?

  2. Oh my! They remind me of a pile of leaves now that fall is just around the corner. If they were raked on my lawn, I’d jump in them just to see them fly up and sparkle in the sun! Fun image, Pat.

    1. If you jump in this, you break something so I’d wait for those fluffy leaves to fall! I love trying to figure out a way to present these images.

  3. 3000 images! Have you got a program that helps you open and use all those shots or are you actually opening that many and manipulating each one at a time?

Either way it’s a great way to show how many things you’ve seen. It’s like a terrazzo path of where you’ve been and what you’ve seen.

    Nice!

    1. Yep, I’ve got a program. I’m crazy but not that crazy that I open 3000 images. I have the choice of opening them in layers in psd and if I chose that option I’d be talking hours, I think. Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.

  4. What a beautiful image, even if I have no idea what you are talking about (or not talking about) in this post.

I like your images and I like your opinions. But I agree, sometimes silence is the way to go.
