Before the Storm, The Series

I began this “Before the Storm, The Series” last year.

I took this photograph yesterday mid-day of the lifeguard chair (familiar to those of you who visit regularly) about ten hours before the storm.

This morning we have 12 inches of snow on this beach after a blizzard that has been making travel very difficult for travelers up and down the East coast of the United States.  It is our turn.

Here are some of the images from this series last year.  The sky always tells me the forecast.  Don’t you agree?

  1. i do agree. the sky yesterday , it was the strange greywhite omen. i am snowed in. they have not even plowed the street yet not to mention the driveway. drifts taller than me up against the front door so it wont open.
but the side door, if i need to i can squeeze out, it opens about 1 foot wide. snowed in. absolutely. still have electricity tho knock on wood

    1. I loved the light in this image as well. Often, I underexpose images as well as overexpose them just so I’ll have choices. The underexposure of this one with a few tweaks in post production was all I needed. Thanks! Hope you have been plowed out by now!!
