I went to the car wash yesterday and thought, “This is what I want. A world car wash. A human car wash.” I want us all to begin again as my car did upon coming out through the tunnel. Begin, again. It’s a phrase I use in my meditation practice and it is refreshing to think about every single session. It never gets old or ineffective a concept.
After five months of no swimming, I went to a local pond as if I was getting into the Apollo 11 moon capsule.
Plus, I discovered I couldn’t put on my water shoes this morning at 6:30 AM with no railing to hold.
When did this happen: “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up?”

I spied a bench and got myself geared up for blast off. I looked at this calm pond like it was a cauldron of witches brew as it has been crowded during the day and weekends. Is it really safe from COVID19? But, I’ve been literally dreaming of water.
So, in I went into the pond.
No one was there of course at such an early hour. Anyway, one giant step for mankind in water shoes. The water was warm. It had a sandy bottom. I dunked only to neck level but paddled around and enjoyed looking across the pond to a dense grove of trees from water level. I went home and showered and scrubbed for 10 minutes. But, tomorrow, I’ll bring my camera into the water, too.
I brought this beach bag to my Apollo Beach Blast Off! Click on it! I made it from a family hand painting event years ago when hands weren’t lethal!!
I call it my Memories Weekender Bag!! Each time I look at it, I begin, again, to think of that summer’s day when we were all together and thinking nothing of it.
PS. I can make your favorite family photo into some fun stuff, too! Just email me.
