Bittersweet

bittersweetfinal2s

October 1.  In the 40’s this morning.  Windy.

We all have our bittersweet moments (and I’ve been having more than a few lately) but do we look as good as the bittersweet vine on a windy day on the first of October?

I could take a few lessons from the plant.

But, I’m not sure I will. Or, can.

I’ll figure it out but for now I’m pretending I am all swirly red yellow and bokeh beautiful.

  1. OK Pat, you got me on this one… I absolutely love this photo. It speaks to me on so many levels. I love the colors… my favorite. I love the motion, and my favorite.. bokeh. Seriously… amazing!

  2. bittersweet is special to me, it is almost magical, the way it colors with red and yellow, the time it shows up, october, beautiful tribute to the wild and windy vine!

  3. Thank you for your lovely mail and wishes! So nice.
…I am a autumn child, but a not so bitter happy one :)
I had to come here and look at you picture because I really enjoy the comments and the look of you blog…see what has been there the day before…and before…
I love the blurry out of focus foreground, almost like a far away hello from a long ago childhood…full of melancholy, but so beautifully reminding you life and being alive…thanks for that!
The tree was unknown to me, so I looked it up on the English Wikipedia and found via the botanical name the German version of the Wiki entry…we use a nasty name for it… how much smarter were you in naming this lovely warn colour dipping bush…
