Dill Love

dilllheavens

Gallop apace you fiery-footed steeds.

If love be bling, I mean blind, it best agrees with night.

Romeo?

He’s dead.

Shame, really.

But, you saw it coming, no?

Juliet begging to learn how to lose a winning match was a dead, no pun intended, give-away.

Me?

Give me my Dill and when I shall die take it and cut it out in little stars and it will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night.

Sigh.

(exit RIGHT to the sound of fiery-footed steeds because I don’t know about you but I can never have enough stallions at my beck and call.)

    Love it!

I also like how there is little out of focus blobs of colour at the base of the image. It almost looks like one of those alien landscapes thought up by Roger Dean.

Until that time comes, hope this will do,

    1. Razz, I LOVE this Hubble Moon Safari! Lurve it, I tell ya’. It is the perfect antidote to all the words heard in the last few days about the Moon Landing.

  2. Apart from Romeo and Juliet and thoughts of fiery-footed steeds (and stallions), the thought of dill at what is now my lunchtime, makes me hungry for smoked fish – salmon or trout – with fresh dill and lemon juice. I love the smell of dill. The dill scratch and sniff sticker was also the hardest one to find when I had my sticker collection (obviously this was recent…not!!). Funny what your posts bring to mind!
Beautiful picture. Another greetings card for your empire, methinks.

    1. Oh, I’m thinking now about that fish, too! Every night at twlight I am taking photos of these dill plants! They fascinate me~

  3. Wonderful photo and poem. Not sure if you meant it to be poetry, but it is so dense with imagery and has such economy of words what else can I call it? It’s the first time I’ve thought of dill in the same mental breath with the stars in the sky, the tragedy of romance, and steeds and stallions at one’s beck and call.
