This is stunning! That tree looks so in control of the whole scene. This, m’dear, is . . . . stunning.
I agree with tysdaddy on this one. And this is exactly why I have a tree obsession. Truly amazing photograph.
Oooooooooooh Pat, this photo is so foreboding and apocalyptic and Hitchcock-ish and bleak and dark and yes – stunning indeed!
Whew – I’m glad it’s Saturday the 14th…
Nature looming … what a nice horror film scenario!
Don’t you want to sneak in to those houses? What kind of place is it?
Holy moly- that tree better hurry up and behave before the rising sun slaps it into mollification.
That is one ominous and powerful image.

Many things only carry the weight that we give them.
When I flew back to Australia (after living overseas for 11 years) in 1984, the pilot (Qantas) made the following announcement, “now that we’ve landed, I thought you might be interested to know that because we’ve crossed the dateline, it’s Friday the 13th, so much for superstition”. That experience has changed forever how I feel about such things.
