Driving on ice I do not do. But, rain? Mmmmm. Mmmmmm. Mmmmmmm.
The ice turned to rain midmorning and, by twilight, I was on the road. Seriously, this mysterious world is as pleasurable to me as the smell of baking cinnamon buns.
Maybe I’ll try the behind the rainy wheel diet.

I like how shiny the world is when it rains at night. And now you’ve got me thinking about fresh-baked cinnamon buns — thanks!
This looks like a hybrid of a watercolor painting and a charcoal drawing. The wintry color and soft transitions between hues make it rather meditative. The subtle background shapes behind the lights giving it a soothing texture. If I could reach into it I’d expect to feel something like brushed cotton or fleece.
You are my New England weather update…. thank you.
This is so beautifully gray and moody and wet. Happy 2009!!!>
Thanks, Davis-Shiny, yes. Hadn’t thought about that!
Chris, you have managed to put words to what has escaped me. I am drawn to these images but cannot articulate “why” for the life of me. For example, it is the background of this image that slays me. I am glad they have captured your creative spirit, too.
HJ: Hollis! How are you??
Thanks, Nava…yes, moody. Another reason I like these images. Happy 2009 to you, too!!
