In the 80’s I bought a ticket to Bill Maher’s Live Show at Fanueil Hall.

In the ’80s (or the 90s), I bought a ticket to see Bill Maher’s “comedy” concert LIVE at Fanueil Hall and went by myself. I have never been a LIVE concertgoer for music or comedy and the only other concert I remember attending (also by myself. Did I have no like-minded friends?) was Nina Simone In 1968 or 1969 at Boston Symphony Hall. Maher now books in a much larger venue: The Wang Center. I listen to him on HBO or YouTube. Here’s why.

He is interviewed by Chris Cuomo (Cuomo was just fired by CNN yesterday) and since I do not have cable I never see any cable shows but I do listen to Maher all the time but in this interview, I heard him in clear, resonant tones. Maybe you will, too. Pass the Maalox bottle, will you?

  1. I couldn’t agree more with Bill Maher. I should start sharing his videos with more of my Republican friends. I wish I could share my views as eloquently and factually as he does.

    1. I couldn’t agree more, Mary. I’m impressed you have Republican friends you think would even listen to him. I know if they send me links, I do not open them. That’s how bad it is. The only way to remain, friends, is to avoid the subject. Maybe there are more open-minded Republicans and Democrats where you live??
