Meet Bonnie. Relocated to Asheville from St. Croix four years ago. COVID19 shutdown hit her at a time in her life that she described as “Life couldn’t be better!” She’s adapted to the isolation because she says she lives in a recluse’s dream: good neighbors, a bountiful garden, a husband, doggies, and despite being a social person, is truly a homebody. So, like for so many of us, being at home was not as much a curse as ” the bombardment of the bizarre” as she describes current leadership. I’ve done three interviews so far and Bonnie is the second that said that confinement was the least of her horrors.
Life for Bonnie seems mostly filled with kindness as long as she doesn’t turn on CNN. Amen, sister.
“Bombardment of Bizarre” is her understated way with words and phrases which have always impressed and delighted me!
We didn’t get a chance to talk about her garden because I’ve dubbed it the Versailles of Vegetable Gardens and it would take a whole hour-long documentary to do it justice. Name a squash, she grows it.
Meet my friend, Bonnie.
