Miracles do happen. An eight-year-old is now a 75-year-old with more style. Thank God. I had nowhere to go but up.
My family gave me a birthday present this week that I suggest all consider doing for their aging relatives. We don’t need stuff as much as we need affirmation. Also, if you give a gift like this, when your elderly family member occasionally gets cranky with you (I’ve heard this happens from friends) if they have wall decor of your love and humor, it goes a long way to defusing future kerfuffles.
One grand nephew wrote that he likes that I am stylish and active.
Would you have predicted that observation from this photo taken when I was eight?
Miracles do happen.
& Gifts like this keep on giving. Try it with your aging family members.
Plus, you can use it as a display at their wake.
One of my grand nieces, looking up momentarily from eating her morning cereal, and just after I was talking about visiting the family cemetery where my brother and parents are buried, said to me, “You’re next, Pappy.”
