SUPERDELEGATES

Superdelegates.  I know nothing about them.  I think they look like this.

The orange ones are for Clinton.

Those two red curly threaded ones on the left are undecided.

The two blue ones are sick maybe, have cancer or a parent with Alzheimer’s, or one of their family members has a broken heart and they are trying to mend it and simply have no energy left for the election despite all those phone calls to their house.

The rest are for Obama.

  1. You know, I have to say a few things here. I am so sick to death of this whole campaign. Its a slime-fest. Sadly its become Vote for the black man, or vote for the woman. What ever happened to vote for the qualified person I wonder?

As for superdelegates? Well, thats a joke in itself. Those are people given “status” in the party for campaign contributions and service to the party. Nice eh? Its both a popularity contest and a money thing. Pathetic! These are the people who ultimately make the choice.

I don’t think we’ll have to worry about it though… I think that we’ll have John McCain as our next President… no matter how poor that choice is due to the infighting of the democrats. Mind you… I would rather have ANYONE other than Hillary!

  2. You know, Amberfire, I’m sick of it too. But, after watching the HBO special on John Adams, I’ve been feeling guilty about all my campaign fatigue. He had to ride by horse in the winter from Quincy, Ma to Philadelphia, PA to go to work on our behalf.

Come to think of it, I’m not sure any of the current candidates wouldn’t happily swap saddles with John Adams. Birthing our country may not have been as brutal as this 24/7, 24 month campaigning. It’s brutal on the electorate and the candidates. Anyway, I’ve taken to photographing sticks on the road, so my opinion on politics may have rounded the corner into oblivion.

    Thanks for visiting!

  3. …. now you know why avoid reading our newspapers lol … 15,000 miles away and the US elections make our front covers side pushing Zimbabwe to second page or worse yet our health minister prescribing garlic for life threatening diseases.

Aye brings to mind the saying “may the best stick win”…

  4. Politics schmolatics! Beautiful sticks!

Since my brain works like one of those executive toys (the one with the balls that click back and forth with kinetic energy), as soon as I saw the image above I immediately thought of another artist that you might like.

His name is James Powditch. I particularly like his work from his 2003 “The Powditch & Powditch Show”. For me “3 days of the condor” and “Vanishing point” don’t just sing, they yodel.

If you want to have a look at his stuff check out this link. The navigation on his site is atrocious, so look out for the horizontal scroll bar in the middle of the page.

I’d be willing to bet that Rosalie Gascoigne’s work has influenced him.

  5. Dear Executive Toy,

Just went to James Powditch’s site. Three Days of Condor. Can you hear me yodeling in Australia? Truly. Liftoff is the polite way of saying it. “Holy Crap” is what a friend says when she sees something that she loves instantly. Take your pick. I thank you so much for your executive toy brain!

  6. Pat.. if you want to see something seriously disturbing… watch the HBO special Hijacking the vote – Its flawed on so many levels…. the base for technology is rediculous. Anyone who knows anything about computers can tell you how rediculous it is…
