One sure way to lose another woman’s friendship is to try to improve her flower arrangements.
Marcelene Cox
Amen, Marcelene, wherever you are.
I have noticed that some flower lovers are highly competitive about our flowers in both growing them and how we arrange them in vases or, in my case, in photo compositions. I arranged these lilies, poppies, and alstroemeria on a lightbox so I could photograph them.
Both flower arrangements in a vase or in photography are a skill and take practice. But, more often, they are more of an art than a skill. Some of us think we are good at it and, maybe, we are, but it is also equally possible that we are not on a particular day.
But, friends of “us”, listen up.
It does not matter whether on a particular day we are good or bad. Unless we ask for suggestions, don’t give any.
If you value your life, that is. Or, at the very least, the friendship.
