What is it? (Week Two)

It is Thursday, week 2 of “What is it?”.  Last week can be viewed HERE.

I am teaching myself new things about Photoshop and honest to God–world peace may not have as many twists and turns as this software program.

So, what is it? Or, what does it look like to you?

I’ll tell you this–to me it looks like two funky canoes hanging up on shed.

Unlike last week, there are clues to the actual beginning image.

  1. crowded llife boat to the right?
crowded life boat with people wearing purple parkas to the left?

    1. Yes, indeed, Carol, all they need are a few feathers and they’d be a match for pair I once wore. Good God.

    1. Ross, you are leaning in the right direction…since I am a plantie person these days. But, not an eggplant…a mango!

  2. Well, I agree with planetross about your predeliction for food photos… but I can’t identify it. In fact, I can’t even tell if one eats those seed-like things, or the outside after scarping those seed-like things in the garbage. Frankly, they look better in black and white; I don’t eat much that’s glow-in-the-dark purple!
In any case it’s a mysterious and attrative image. Isn’t photoshop fun? One never knows all the bells and whistles.

    1. It’s a mango sliced in half, Don. And, with my experimentation with masks and blends, the flesh part disappeared leaving only the black globules or whatever they are!

  3. Looks like the baby in an Adam Fuss original…. :0 )
Or the ultra sound of a very pregnant coffee bean???
The final stages of potatoe man???

But serously…a very beautiful tear drop is what I’m feeling…..

    1. Oh, Lynnie! You made me laugh out loud. Honestly, how dumb can one get? That guy is probably still laughing at that question. I did think “teardrop” myself!

    1. Well, that covers just about everything these days but it is funny thinking about TSA folks spying this in my luggage!

  4. first was drawn to it because of the shapes juxtaposed evenly, as if suggesting order, the counterpointing line and color. it is very beautiful.
but you know i really thought it was a milkweed pod. coulda sworn. but there you go.

  5. Tipota, now, I think it’s a milk weed pod, too, after you said it! Yes, indeed. I see it. Perhaps, they are cousins to the mango?

  6. Are Jeff and I the only ones who think they look…female? a la Georgia O’Keefe?

  7. No, Al. I thought that myself, along with the canoes! Actually, it’s one of the reasons I showed two. The black and white by itself was, how can I put this, very female!!
